1 Corinthians 5:7 

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.

OUTLINE

I.  The birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior, was the first of four things that had to happen for salvation to come to humanity. (Luke 2:1-20)

II.  The crucifixion was and always will be the debt paid for all of humanity's transgressions. (Luke 23:33–56)

III.  Jesus Christ, the Savior who gives eternal life, must have the power to overcome death, and He did once and for all. (Luke 24:1-12)

IV.  The ongoing work of Christ in the church, through the body of believers, is continuous until He returns. The payment has been paid; the atonement made; all that is left is for Jesus to return for His people. (Luke 24:50–53)
