KEY VERSE

1 Timothy 2:3–6

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

OUTLINE

I. We are not unique in the fact that we are all the same in one matter-we are all sinners and have fallen short of God’s mark for righteousness. (Romans 3:22-23)

II. Humanity can receive forgiveness through faith in the blood of Jesus’ death. (Romans 3:24-25)

III. God did this so he could judge rightly and so he could make right any person who has faith in Jesus – Oh, and by the way, that is a free gift to you called GRACE. (Romans 3:26-30)

IV. You see, our faith causes us to be what the law truly wants, for us to be righteous in an all-knowing God’s eyes. (Romans 3:31)

God determines, speaks, requires, and conforms to perfection. Rather than conforming to some external standard, God’s righteousness reflects conformity to His own essence—it is not something He created but who He is eternally.
