THE SEASON OF REFLECTION: JUDGMENT ALONE BELONGS TO JESUS CHRIST

WELCOME HOME TO THE COWBOY CHURCH OF YOUNG COUNTY, WHERE EVERYONE HAS A PLACE TO SERVE THE LORD.

ROMANS 14:1-9; JOHN 5:22-23

(All verses today will be read out of the NASB95)

KEY VERSE

Romans 14:7-8

For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself: for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die, we die for the Lord; therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

OUTLINE

I. If a person believes in Jesus Christ as the Saviour, God the Father recognizes that person as accepted into the Kingdom of God - that person is now one of God's forever. (Romans 14:3)

II. The job of Judge is taken, and it is not for anyone else but Jesus Christ. (Romans 14:4; John 5:22-23)

III. Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we have sworn an allegiance to the King of Kings. We are now returned home to God. (Romans 14:7-8)

You see, as sinners, no one on earth has or can earn the right to be back in good graces with God. And with sin, we do not qualify to be with our God. Therefore, we are all sinners who fall short of the mark required to receive a place at the Father's table. So, none of us, no not one, has the right to judge another believer's walk with Christ.

LOVE Y'ALL!
